This post is brought to you in partnership with BarkitectureCLT, a custom doghouse design competition with the end goal being to raise money for Charlotte area animal rescues.

Mark your calendars: BarkitectureCLT is back again, and this year it's coming to NoDa Brewing on Sunday, September 2 from 12 - 4 PM!

In case you're not familiar, BarkitectureCLT is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation that raises money for Charlotte, NC area rescues through a custom doghouse design competition and silent auction. This year's proceeds will benefit the American Pit Bull Foundation, the Carolina Great Pyrenees Rescue, and Harvey's Heroes.

Make your way to BarkitectureCLT 2018 at NoDa Brewing on Sunday 9/2 to check out (and bid on!) this year's dog houses and to enjoy a silent auction, live music, craft beer, food trucks, local vendors, and most importantly, adoptable dogs.

Read on to find out more about how the event works (and what other events you can check out to support BarkitectureCLT before the main event on 9/2).

What to Expect at BarkitectureCLT 2018

As we mentioned above, Barkitecture is a custom pet house design competition and silent auction with the end goal to raise money for three local animal rescues: the American Pit Bull Foundation, the Carolina Great Pyrenees Rescue, and Harvey's Heroes.

Design teams (some of them comprised of actual architects, some just made up of creative and passionate people) worked together to create a custom dog house spending no more than $250 on materials. But that's the only stipulation! The size and design of the dog houses are totally up to each team's discretion -- so you can expect to see some truly creative dog house designs at this year's event.

So, make your way to NoDa Brewing to enjoy some great music and see the unique houses (that are available to bid on!) that this year's design teams have built for this special cause.

You can also take part in a silent auction featuring incredible prizes, enjoy live music on the pet-friendly patio, snag food from TIN Kitchen and Lobster Dogs, and have a few cold, delicious beers.

And be sure to check out the local vendors who will be selling merchandise, dog toys and treats, and more at the event -- including Work For Your Beer. We'll see you there!
