If you're a part of Charlotte's run club scene, chances are that you've crossed paths with Nick Milby, since he leads several of the run clubs around the city! Read on to learn a bit more about him and how he got so involved with the Queen City's beer running community.

How long have you been a runner? All my life.

Which brewery run clubs are you a part of? Lenny Boy, Sycamore, and Three Spirits weekly. Occasionally Legion and Triple C.

What made you start going to brewery run clubs? It's more fun to run in a group and hang out after to have a beer or two.

What's your favorite part of running with these groups? The social aspect. You develop a real camaraderie with fellow runners and make new friends. I've also found that running in a group improves your pace.

What is the most challenging part of running for you? Recovery. Making sure to take a break and rest. It's hard to take a day off sometimes!

Which is your favorite run club route? I like the different routes for different reasons, depending on the time of year, the weather, or how I feel on that particular day.

What's one thing you would want to tell somebody who was considering joining a brewery run club? Do it! You won't regret it. Try a few out and find the right ones for you.

What's your favorite beer in Charlotte? Beers, plural! Lenny Boy "Ground Up," Three Spirits "Sweet Memories," Sycamore "Pecan Session," and NoDa "Coco Loco."
