Meet the Yogis: Whitney, Danielle & Katie
Dec 12, 2016
One of our goals in launching Work For Your Beer was to highlight members of Charlotte's beer fitness community. This week, we interviewed three regular beer yogis to learn more about what makes them love brewery yoga and why they joined this community in the first place! Read on to learn about these local beer yogis (and remember to say, "Hi!" if you see them in class).

How long have you been doing yoga? Many many moons! Since I was about 8 years old, living in California.
Which brewery yoga classes do you attend? I rotate through Hattie's, OMB, Unknown, and my favorite so far: Triple C.
What made you start doing yoga? Growing up, my mom was very busy traveling for work and her favorite way of winding down was a hot yoga class. I started going with her whenever she was home to get some more quality time with her. We would always sweat it out in a very early morning class and then get breakfast together.
What’s your favorite part of doing brewery yoga? You get to feel good about taking care of yourself and furthering your practice, meet awesome new people, and try great beer all at the same time. What's not to like?!
Which yoga pose has been the hardest for you to master? Standing splits, then kicking up into a handstand. Not sure if I will ever master that one, but a girl can try!
Which is your favorite yoga pose? Pigeon. That hip stretch hurts so good after a long day at the office.
What’s one thing you would want to tell somebody who was considering attending a brewery yoga class? Don't feel intimidated. You can always find a class that fits your preferred flow no matter what level of experience you have. Plus, the brew-yoga community in Charlotte is very friendly!
What’s your favorite beer in Charlotte? It was a small batch, but Wooden Robot's Mocha Good Morning Vietnam was a dream. If they ever put it out again, I highly recommend it! For a permanent fixture, I would say my current favorite is a tie between Unknown's Hospitali-Tea and Triple C's Smoked Amber Ale.
