What do you get when you mix a Wesley Heights sandwich staple, a brand new brewery, and a fruity pilsner? A chubby unicorn. Duh.

Our local beer of the week isn’t only a celebration of beautiful, local ingredients. Read on to learn more about our cleverly named beer of the week:

The Beer: "Chubby Unicorn"

Chubby Unicorn is a hoppy pilsner brewed by Town Brewing Co. in celebration of their neighbor Rhino Market’s 4th Anniversary on December 8. (A rhino is a chubby unicorn. Get it?!). German Grüngeist hops pair with peach, passionfruit, and floral notes to create this light and hoppy brew. Community is a high priority for Town Brewing, and they are so excited to raise a glass of this pilsner in celebration of their amazing neighbors and the entire Wesley Heights neighborhood! Stop by this Saturday and try the new beer release, officially on tap on Monday, Dec. 3.

The Brewery: Town Brewing Co.

Town Brewing Co. may have opened only a couple months ago, but they are quickly becoming a household name. Walk through the garage doors, and you’ll find a mixture of a rustic and industrial elements that create a warm, welcoming environment.

High top tables co-mingle with living room furniture throughout the 2,500 square foot space to provide comfort in every social situation. It is rounded out with 3,000 square foot patio where dogs and humans alike can enjoy Bocce Ball and cornhole.

Don’t forget the International Harvester Metro Van from the 1950s parked out front. Think of it as a mile marker, and you’re one step closer to the beer. With an 24 taps, local kombucha and cider, house-made sodas, and an beautifully curated wine list, we can guarantee there will be something for everyone.
