Disclaimer: NewAir sent us a free 15” Built-in 90 Can Outdoor Beverage Fridge to review here on the Work For Your Beer blog. All opinions here are still our own (aka if we hated it, we'd definitely tell you, albeit nicely). Thankfully, that wasn't the case. Just a heads up!

My husband and I, perhaps unsurpisingly given the context of this blog, love craft beer.

We spend hours in breweries and bottle shops, searching for the best local brews, the weirdest beers, the most unique can art, and more.

Which is a cool hobby, for sure. But also one that ends up taking up a LOT of fridge space.

When our friends come over to visit and bring along their own beverage they'd like to keep cold, they're often caught off-guard at the lack of refrigerator room available... And then we're immediately embarrassed at how many beer cans they can clearly see that we have squished in between our condiments, leftovers, and even in the produce drawer. Yikes.

So, we started talking a while back about getting a separate refrigerator to house our craft beverages.

We already know all about all the benefits of having a beer fridge, thanks to my co-founder Mel — and at first, we were dead-set on getting the same model that she has (the gorgeous NewAir "Beers of the World" Custom Designed 126-Can Beer Fridge, which I've ogled about a zillion times in her dining room.)

But when we started trying to figure out where that fridge might fit inside of our house, we were stumped. Neither our kitchen nor our dining room had any space to spare, and even in the living room, we couldn't figure out any options. Unless we wanted to shove this thing in our master bathroom (an option my husband was ALL too keen on), we were bummed to realize this model wasn't going to work for us.

Thankfully, an outdoor beer fridge turned out to be the answer to all our problems!

We're lucky enough to live in a home with a large back deck, which has ample room for even a huge beer fridge.

But even if we had a teeny-tiny balcony like we did back in our apartment living days, we'd still have plenty of space for the NewAir 15" Built-In 90 Can Outdoor Beverage Fridge in Weatherproof Stainless Steel.

Despite its slim, could-fit-just-about-anywhere design, this fridge can hold up to 90 standard 12-oz. cans, or you can switch around the customizable shelves to accommodate taller cans, bottles, or other items you want to keep cool (cough, growlers, cough).

My only concern about investing in an outdoor fridge was that we live in a climate that gets super hot in the summer, and incredibly cold in the winter. But thankfully, this fridge's durable design can withstand intense heat, cold, and heavy rain. Plus, the stainless-steel finish adds a layer of protection to resist rust and corrosion, so it won't get gross looking despite living outside.

A few other convenient features I wasn't expecting:

1. It comes with wheels, so that you can move the fridge around as needed (depending if you're using to store meat while barbecuing, to serve up cold beers while hanging out at the patio table, etc.).

2. It also has an internal LED light, which automatically turns on and off whenever the fridge door is opened or closed (so you can see its contents even if you're grabbing a beer in the dark of night).

3. It comes with a security lock to prevent theft and keep your contents safe (heaven forbid someone steal your stouts!).

We have only had this fridge for a few weeks now, but it's already been a lifesaver for my husband and I — both when we're drinking beers on our own and when we're entertaining friends!

I would highly recommend the NewAir 15” Built-in 90 Can Outdoor Beverage Fridge in Weatherproof Stainless Steel for all the reasons I listed above — but you can't go wrong with the 126-can model, either ;)

Happy drinking!
