About the Brewery

Work For Your Beer (WFYB): We are thrilled to chat with you, Eric. We know Worthy opened its doors in 2013 — what is one fact people generally don't know about your brewery before visiting?

Eric (E): We have a fully functional Observatory!

WFYB: Well, that certainly is unique! What else would you say allows you to stand out from other breweries in Bend?

E: We are environmentally conscious and have one of the most unique brewery campuses in the Northwest.

WFYB: We love to hear it! We loved visiting your taproom — not only did y'all have amazing beer, but your brunch menu was also *chef's kiss*

Let’s Talk Beer

WFYB: Let's dive into beer! What’s the most popular beer style you sell?

E: At the moment we sell lots of IPAs but also do well with our Pilsners and Lagers!

WFYB: We loved your "beer-flavored beers"! What beer are you most proud of brewing?

E: Lights Out Stout among so many others has been a part of a long-standing award-winning production lineup.

WFYB: We love a solid stout! Now, one of our favorite questions to ask: if you had to make the *perfect* mixed six-pack, what beers would you include in it?

E: Here's our six-pack pick!

  1. Stratus Hazy IPA

  2. Eruption Red

  3. EZ Day Hazy (Mango)

  4. Lights Out Stout

  5. Secret Spot Pacific ALE

  6. NW IPA

Let’s Focus on Community

WFYB: Craft breweries are staples in local communities. How do you contribute to Bend's local community?

E: We strive to support our community through all of our NFP and charitable efforts run out of the Worthy Garden Club https://www.worthygardenclub.com

WFYB: How do you make sure your brewery is inclusive?

E: Management is committed to maintaining a diverse and inclusive staff and culture at Worthy, and it can be felt at every level!

WFYB: Y’all are known for your sustainability practices. Talk to us about “earth first, beer second” and how you are making sure your brewery is as sustainable as it can be.

E: By reducing Light Pollution and our Carbon footprint surrounding brew practices as well as sourcing/growing local ingredients whenever possible!

WFYB: We appreciate the time and effort y'all take to make sure your brewery is as sustainable as possible! Y'all rock!

Thank you to Eric & Worthy Brewing Co. for taking the time to share their story with us here on the Work For Your Beer blog.

If you ever find yourself in Bend and want to throw down a good lager or pilz, you know where to head!
