Cheers to 7 Years of Work For Your Beer: Reflecting on 2023 Accomplishments
As we raise a glass to 7 incredible years of Work For Your Beer, it's crazy to think about how much this small business has evolved since our inception in 2016.
2023 was a bit of a whirlwind, but we're super proud of everything we've accomplished.
Check out a few of WFYB's 2023 highlights:
1. Cirque du Biere Takes Flight: Possibly my favorite addition to Work For Your Beer, we launched Cirque du Biere — an aerial troupe that hosted five productions at Hi-Wire Brewing (all benefiting local non-profits!). You'll also catch us regularly performing at Monday Night Brewing. Cirque du Biere is available for hire (at your brewery, birthday party, wedding... If you need an aerialist, we're here for ya!), and you can view our upcoming shows here,
2. Global Adventures: Work For Your Beer globe-trotted to locations like St. Pete & Dunedin, FL, Santa Rosa, Amsterdam, Nashville, Asheville, Italy, Denver, Utah, all around NC, and beyond, spreading the love for fitness, beer, and community.
3. Advocacy and Inclusivity: We participated in the St. Pete Pride parade, hosted an International Women’s Day workout supporting Thistle Farms, and every single event we host (or co-host) supports a non-profit!
4. Hiking Adventures: From traversing the scenic landscapes of NC and TN with our Chief Borking Officer, Pancake, to hiking with llamas at Divine Llama Vineyards, we explored nature in unconventional ways.
5. Festival Frenzy: Our presence at QC Brewfest, Moo and Brew, Battle of the Brews, and Devils Foot Brew Zero Proof Fest reinforced our dedication to supporting local craft beverage festivals.
6. Podcasts and Media Spotlight: From podcast collaborations with Brewsing Banter to featuring on CLT Today Show, Work For Your Beer continued to make waves in the media landscape.
7. Community Givebacks: Expressing gratitude to our followers, we gave away tickets, beer fridges, candles, backpacks, trips, and more — always trying to give back to our community! (If you don't follow us on Instagram, we have a ton of giveaways prepped for 2024, so give us a follow!)
8. Brewery Partnerships: We are so grateful for the amazing breweries we partnered with in 2023: Divine Barrel Brewing, Hi-Wire Brewing, Monday Night Brewing, Jackalope Brewing, Victory Brewing, Birdsong Brewing, NoDa Brewing, Resident Culture, 1820 Brewing, Town Brewing Co., Petty Thieves Brewing, and so many more! (Sorry if I forgot you — it's a long list!)
9.New Merch: We also unveiled new merch designs in our shop (check 'em out here!).
10. Diverse Event Attendance: From emo nights to brewery opening and media events, Work For Your Beer popped up all around town — always supporting our local craft breweries!
11. Embracing Non-Alcoholic Options: Facing health challenges, we delved into the world of non-alcoholic beverages, showcasing a commitment to inclusivity and catering to all preferences. It is actually on-brand — we always advocate living a healthy, balanced lifestyle, and that means something different for everyone.
If you’re still here, thank you for following along. We are so grateful for this community — y’all rock so hard, and Work For Your Beer wouldn’t exist without you.
