Food & Beer Pairing: How to Pair a Lager with a Healthy Meal

Strawberry Salad with Grilled Chicken and Honey Dijon Vinaigrette
Makes 2 servings
Ingredients:
Dressing:
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
1⁄4 tablespoon dijon mustard
3⁄4 tablespoon honey
1⁄8 teaspoon garlic powder
1⁄8 teaspoon onion powder
A pinch of salt
Freshly ground black pepper to taste
Chicken:
2 small chicken breasts (or 1 large)
1⁄8 teaspoon salt
1⁄4 teaspoon garlic powder
1⁄4 teaspoon onion powder
Freshly ground black pepper to taste
Salad:
6 cups of spring mix salad greens
1⁄2 cup strawberries, sliced
1⁄4 cup red onions, thinly sliced
1⁄2 cup shelled edamame
2 tablespoons plain sliced almonds
Whole wheat bread
Directions:
Add olive oil, white wine vinegar, dijon, honey, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to a mason jar. Shake until combined.
Pound chicken breasts until flattened to tenderize and ensure even cooking.
Season chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Grill chicken until it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees.
Assemble salad with remaining ingredients and serve with a slice of whole-wheat bread.
