Hot Take: You Don't Have to Drink Beer to Have Fun at Breweries

We get it—beer isn't everyone's cup of, well, beer.

Whether you're not a fan of the taste or it just doesn't quite vibe with your health, that is a-okay (and we won't ever judge anyone for not drinking beer)!

We are here to tell you that breweries aren't just about the beer — they are vibrant community hubs with a little something for everyone. And we think you should head to your local brewery to see what we're talkin' about.

Not Just Beer Here

Gone are the days when breweries were solely beer-centric. Today, they offer a variety of beverage alternatives. Depending on the brewery, you'll see options like hard cider, a selection of wines, kombucha, cold brew coffee, sodas, non-alcoholic beers, seltzer waters (hard and regular), and even mocktails.

Breweries are evolving to ensure there's a libation for every palate, making your visit a truly inclusive experience. If your favorite local brewery doesn't have an option you like: reach out and ask! They won't know unless they hear from you.

Events Galore

Breweries are carving out a niche as more than just places to grab a drink. They are becoming community catalysts by hosting an array of events that cater to various interests.

From invigorating fitness classes that make breaking a sweat a social affair (ayyy, squad, that's #WorkForYourBeer) to dazzling drag shows that celebrate diversity, and even aerial performances that add a touch of magic — breweries are redefining themselves as vibrant spaces for entertainment.

Additionally, breweries frequently support non-profits! They'll host animal adoption events, blood drives, food drives, etc. to support their local community. As an FYI, every event Work For Your Beer co-hosts gives back to a non-profit, and we love working with breweries who are equally as passionate about giving back as we are.

Games, Food, and Fun

Breweries are embracing the concept of being a one-stop shop for entertainment. Enjoying an evening at a brewery extends beyond sipping on your preferred beverage. Most breweries offer various games, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere. Whether it's classic board games, giant Jenga, or even a competitive round of cornhole, breweries are making sure there's never a dull moment.

Pair that with the delectable offerings from on-site restaurants or the ever-rotating variety of food trucks, and you have a complete experience that transcends the traditional "sitting down and just having a pint" brewery visit.

While craft beer itself remains a beloved staple, the evolution of breweries goes far beyond what's poured into your glass. They are integral community spaces, embracing diversity and catering to a multitude of interests.

If you aren't a beer lover: step outside your comfort zone and explore the unique experiences breweries have to offer.

Join us in celebrating the dynamic essence of breweries as they continue to shape the social landscape with inclusivity and a commitment to creating memorable moments for all. Cheers!
